We love kids! And we want the time that children spend at First Baptist to be the best hours of their week, while building a firm foundation on the truth and love of Jesus Christ.

LORI BROWN

FAMILY PASTOR

Hello!  My name is Lori Brown, and I am the Family Pastor at First Baptist Church. I am excited about the opportunity to invest in the lives of all of our children and their families.  It is my hope that our families will find a home at First Baptist Church where they can use their God-given gifts to serve Him and to serve our community.

Sunday Morning Birth - Pre-K

Our aim is to help children develop a positive, receptive attitude toward God, the Bible, and church through stories, games, crafts, and music.

Preschoolers will experience Sunday school in a fun meaningful way through The Gospel Project preschool Sunday school curriculum. Sunday School begins at 9:00 and the preschool classes are all located on the first floor of the education building.

Guidelines and Expectations

Sunday Morning 1st - 4th Grade

The elementary teachers are dedicated to presenting God's plan of salvation through Christ by helping children develop skills in prayer and Bible reading, encouraging children to worship, and developing a missional and service-focused mindset.

Elementary students also use The Gospel Project curriculum. As they spend time in both the Old and New Testaments, they will see the big story of scripture with Jesus at the center. Sunday morning class is at 9:00 and all 1st - 4th grade meet on the 3rd floor of the Education Building.

FBC AWANA ministry meets on Wednesday evenings during the school year. AWANA reaches students with the gospel and trains them to know, love, and serve Christ. AWANA is a blend of Bible teaching, scripture memorization, and fun for children from kindergarten through 4th grade, along with their families.

Preschool children may participate in AWANA through

Puggles (age 2 as of September 1)

Cubbies (age 3 as of September 1)

Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM during the school year. We aim to help children grow emotionally, socially, physically, intellectually, and spiritually.  Our staff will guide children to learn and grow as children learn and grow best - by touching, seeing, hearing, and doing.  Children will create, build, draw, paint, laugh, play, sing, dance, run, jump, love, and pray.
